The award reflects BCPG’s outstanding achievement in applying innovative energy technology, Energy Storage System, to power generation and distribution from renewable sources.
The 9-MW LomLigor wind power project is located in Pak Panang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Southern Thailand. It is the first wind farm in Thailand to adopt Energy Storage System (ESS), with a total production capacityof 1.88 MWh, as the solution to the intermittency of wind power. The ESS not only ensures stability and reliability of renewable energy sources but also enhances grid efficiency by delivering uninterrupted power to the grid. The stable power, along with efficientelectric grid, reinforces energy security for communities and supports economic growth across the country in the long run.
The project also complies with Circular Economy Concept in terms of sustainable consumption and production. With the Energy Storage System, every unit of clean electricity generated from wind power project will be utilized, maximizingthe use of natural resource.
