Niwat Adirek, President and CEO of BCPG Public Company Limited, Ms. Cindy Lim, CEO of Keppel Infrastructure Singapore, together with Dr. Aphichat Sramoon, CEO of TEAM Consulting Engineering and Management Public Company Limited, on behalf of a joint venture – Prathumwan Smart District Cooling Company Limited, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony of Samyan District Cooling by PMCU, an innovative district cooling system for Samyan Smart City. The ceremony was also well received with Associate Professor Jittisak Thammapornpilas, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, and Vorrapong Sukteera-anantachai, Director of Property Management of Chulalongkorn University.

Samyan District Cooling by PMCU is a building equipped with a district cooling system with cooling load of 18,000 Refrigeration Tonnes. The system could serve the cooling needs for office, retail and residential properties within Samyan Smart City.

The Samyan District Cooling by PMCU is the fruit of partnership among BCPG Public Company Limited, the leading renewable energy company in Thailand, Keppel Infrastructure, the leader in infrastructure solutions provider from Singapore, and TEAM Group, the experienced engineering solutions provider in Thailand. The district cooling system not only enhances energy efficiency by 20-35% compared with traditional cooling system, but also leads to carbon emission reduction for better environment and quality of life, which is in line with the concept of Samyan Smart City.
