Smart University

We promote Chiang Mai University to be a “Smart University” and a model of “Smart City” in Thailand with an innovative energy management system. The solar rooftop system installed for more than 150 buildings within the university is wisely managed by state-of-the-art technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) for more efficient and sustainable use of energy.

The smart university project is developed by Thai Digital Energy Development or TDED, a joint venture between BCPG Public Company Limited and PEA ENCOM International Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA).
